![]() I used to use Soft Scrub with Baking Soda Cleanser until I learned it received a D+ rating from the Environmental Working Group for having ingredients that are very concerning to overall health. Because I love to clean tile and grout with a paste, I was determined to find a recipe to use natural ingredients to make my own. My recipe is inexpensive, very easy to make and is super powerful to safely cleans your kitchen and bathroom sinks, tub and tile without harmful chemicals. And it has baking soda, too! Ingredients: 1 cup baking soda 1/4 cup liquid castille soap, (i.e. Dr Bronner's) 1 Tbs white vinegar 10-15 drops Lemon essential oil Directions: Combine in a bowl with a whisk then store in an airtight container. If it seems too dry, add a few more drops of lemon oil or some water to thin a little. When "green cleaning" one of your best resources is good, ole' fashioned "elbow grease", but it doesn't have to wear you out to clean, either. Use this paste with a non-scratch scrub pad and put just a little muscle into it and your sinks and tile will be fresh and clean and your health will not be compromised in the process!
